The Briefing
To celebrate the 65 th anniversary of Suske en Wiske, WPG Belgium decided to create a special edition called ‘De Stuivende Stad’. But that’s not all, they wanted to innovate and really make an impression. They needed a creative and reliable partner to walk every mile, aiming for a unique and wonderful comic experience.
The main goal was to engage a younger generation into the inspiring world of Suske en Wiske.

Our Role
Our role was to design & develop an innovative audiovisual comic experience on smartphones and tablets. This called for our expertise on user experience, interface design, storytelling and creative development.

Challenges
The biggest challenge was to design an exciting and innovative user experience. With an agile approach we started wireframing and worked on several prototypes. In close interaction with the client we made important design decisions and combined all of the audiovisual elements into a wonderful storytelling.

The Result
For over a year, the application dominated the number 1 free iPad app position for books. Users are still extremely excited about the application, resulting in a maximum 5 star rating at Apple’s App Store. WPG Belgium and Little Miss Robot received several international awards for its innovation and creative thinking. A result we can be truly proud of.
